For Families

We have many free programmes and groups for families with young children living in the Northwest of Cork City.  Each programme is for a different age, and you can learn about all the programmes below.  If you would like to sign up for a programme please fill out our sign up form or contact info@letsgrowtogether.ie.

How it works:
Our Home Visiting Programme supports parents, caregivers, and families to help their children grow in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Home Visitors meet families in their own homes—offering support from pregnancy through to the child’s fourth birthday.

  • The number and frequency of visits are flexible
  • Support is tailored to each family’s needs and goals
  • You and your Home Visitor decide what works best for you

What we can offer:
We meet families where they are—offering encouragement, information, and practical support. Home Visitors build strong, trusting relationships with families and work together to support both child and caregiver development.

Home Visitors can provide guidance on topics such as:

  • Positive parenting practices
  • Child health and development
  • Local community resources and services

The Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO) is a gentle way to observe your baby’s unique behaviours and responses in the first 3 months of life.

In a quiet, warm space with you and your baby, an NBO-trained practitioner will take 30–45 minutes to look at how your baby responds to sounds (habituation), faces and objects (orientation), physical movement, reflexes, and how they manage sleep and crying.

The goal is to share with parents and caregivers the amazing abilities of newborns—especially your baby. We explore what your baby enjoys or finds challenging, how they express their needs, and how you can best comfort, soothe, and connect with them. The session be arranged at home or in a community setting.

Baby massage offers a gentle, meaningful way to connect deeply with your baby while supporting their physical, emotional, and psychological growth. This nurturing practice strengthens the early bond between you and your baby, building secure attachment and enhancing your ability to understand their needs.

Key Benefits:

  • Bonding: Encourages early bonding, secure attachment and communication
  • Technique: Learn a variety of massage techniques—including strokes, pressure, and rhythm—to gently stimulate or soothe your baby.
  • Relaxation: Promotes better sleep and eases digestion
  • Connection: Learn how to read and respond to your baby’s cues

Our baby massage classes provide a safe, welcoming space where you can relax with your baby, ask questions, and share experiences over a cup of tea with other parents.

Join us to nurture your bond and support your baby’s wellbeing.

Sessions run weekly for 5 weeks.

Let’s Talk with Your Baby is a friendly programme that helps you support your baby’s early speech, language, and communication development.

Each week, we explore a different theme like looking, watching, feeling, moving, making noise, and taking turns—using songs, play, and fun activities to bring these ideas to life.

You and your baby will discover simple ways to connect, communicate, and enjoy each other’s company.

From splashing in water to quiet time to chill together, every session is a chance to build your bond and support your baby’s learning. And of course, there’s always time for a cup of tea and a chat with other parents and caregivers.

Sessions run weekly for 8 weeks.

Our Peep groups offer a welcoming space for parents and caregivers to support their child’s learning and development through everyday routines, play, stories, and songs.

There are two different Peep groups that you can join: one for babies and toddlers under age 2 and one for children under age 4.

Peep sessions are all about making the most of everyday moments—talking, singing, playing, and sharing stories—to build strong relationships and support your child’s early communication and literacy.

You and your toddler can make new friends, share ideas, and have fun in a warm and welcoming space.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Songs and rhymes to get everyone moving and smiling
  • A cosy storytime to spark imagination
  • Hands-on activities for you and your toddler to enjoy together
  • Snack time (plus a cuppa for grown-ups!)
  • A group activity to bring everyone together

Sessions run weekly for 8 weeks.
